Are you running a blog for your credit union but wondering if it's making an impact? Let’s fix that. Here are some super easy tips to help you amp up your blog content. I’ve got a favorite formula that’s super simple:

Make it searchable, solvable, and usable.

Searchable - To make sure your blog gets found, focus on SEO (search engine optimization). This means using keywords and phrases that your members are likely typing into search engines. Think about the specific questions they might be asking and weave those into your blog titles. Easy, right?

Solvable - Your blog should solve problems and answer questions your members have. Focus on topics that are useful and relevant to them. You've got the expertise they need! Make the problem solvable by suggesting specific next steps—link to an internal product page, service, or even a staff contact. Quotes from happy members can work wonders, too. And don’t be shy about linking to external resources if they’re helpful.

Usable - Your credit union blog should be easy to use and navigate. Pay attention to readability, design, and accessibility. Include things like downloadable guides or summary checklists with next steps. The easier it is to use, the more your members will love it! And make sure to use that content in member newsletters, and social content!

Remember, creating a successful blog isn’t just about pushing out content. By making it searchable, solvable, and usable, you can really engage your members and make your blog content come up as a go-to resource for them.

People Want Choices: 62% of banking customers prefer digital banking to do common transactions (depositing a check, paying a bill, etc.) while 57% of banking customers prefer human assistance for more important transactions (sending a wire transfer, setting up a new account, etc.)
